MAYS is selling three trims and quoting a 500 km range, after four years of 4.9 s
The site now lists Alive, Alive X and Alive X+ from RO 10,900 with a 500 km figure. The 2022 launch reports printed acceleration and a top speed instead, and neither survived.
MAYS now sells the Alive in three trims — Alive at RO 10,900, Alive X at RO 11,900 and Alive X+ at RO 13,500 — according to its own site, in the reference section it keeps for buyers comparing models. The same section states a 500 km range for all three and a 6-year vehicle warranty with an 8-year battery warranty.
Both of those numbers are the company's, not a test result, and the site says so — the range disclaimer names speed, weather, load, road conditions and air-conditioning as variables. It also quotes 30 minutes to 80 per cent on Type 2 and CCS fast charging.
Range is the figure the 2022 launch did not lead on. Times of Oman and Oman Observer carried the February 2022 launch report at Al Bustan Palace and the figure it rested on was 4.9 seconds to 100 km/h, alongside a 280 km/h top speed. The car then was a sedan. Alive, the SUV that followed, is quoted by its maker today at about 7 seconds and above 170 km/h.
That is a fall of more than 100 km/h from the number the launch was announced on. Four years have passed, the body changed from sedan to SUV, and the pitches are not comparable — but no outlet that printed 280 km/h has published a correction, and the site it sells from no longer states it.
Servicing, and where it happens
MAYS services cars through Precision Tune Auto Care, and quotes more than 52 locations around the Sultanate for it. Collection from a home or office is offered, with the work returned within 24 to 48 hours; a home wall charger and a portable socket charger come with the car.
That is the part of the record worth counting, because a service network is either there or it is not. The 52 figure is the company's, but the partner is a third-party franchise chain and its own footprint can be checked against it.
What to carry from this
Prices and warranty terms are company figures from the site, read on 23 October 2026, and the site's own reference page is dated 22 August 2026. All of it moves without notice; the reservation page is the only current figure. The 4.9 s and 280 km/h of 2022 are from the launch reports and are quoted here as what was published then, not as what is sold now.
None of this is coverage. It is what a buyer can read on the maker's site and what the papers printed in 2022, set side by side so the drift is visible.
